Howard has been practicing law in the Jacksonville, St. Johns, Clay area since 1993. Prior to his legal career, he was a newspaper reporter and magazine writer for several publications in Florida. Howard still enjoys a good debate on current events, politics, and sports with anyone good-natured enough not to take it too seriously. He firmly believes that every situation in life can be reduced to a sports analogy, and tries to have a decent sense of humor.
Howard is a member of the Florida Bar Association, and the Real Estate, Probate, Trust Law and Estate Planning Section. He is also a licensed Realtor and member of the Florida Realtors and Northeast Florida Association of Realtors. Additionally, he is a licensed Life Insurance agent for Primerica.
Howard has been married for 25 years and has raised two sons. He am a member of Celebrations Church in Jacksonville. Howard enjoys all sports, and tennis and golf in particular, and coach youth sports.

Robert joined the Law Offices of Howard J. Smith, P.A. in 2014, where he focuses on Real Estate, Small Business, and Wills, Trusts and Estate Law. He has been a member of the Florida Bar Association, and the Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Law Section since 2013.
Robert attended Stetson University, where he majored in Psychology and had a minor in Business Law. Following his undergraduate studies, he earned his Juris Doctor from the Florida State University College of Law, and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2013.
Robert was born and raised in Long Island, NY, and is an avid New York Jets and New York Rangers fan. He moved to the Jacksonville area with his family in 2007. His hobbies include fishing, golfing, and woodworking.
